Glorious Day

"Living He loved me
Dying He saved me
Buried He carried my sins far away
Rising He justified
Freely forever
One day He's coming
Oh, Glorious Day"

Our Easter Weekend was peaceful, quiet and joyful..i love weekends like this.  Saturday morning my friend Tiffany and I went to visit our sweet friend, Karen who just had a baby, Dottie, who I got to take pictures of. This was technically my first newborn photo shoot (i think)and it was indoors which also made me a little nervous considering i hardly ever use my flash (pictures just turn out better with natural light), but im excited to see how they turned out.

Saturday afternoon danny and I did a little bit of cleaning, took murphy to the dog park where he played in the "big dog" area and got scared a few times of bigger dogs trying to play with him. He's somewhat of a wimp from time to time. We got some strawberry tart yogurt, which was delicious and then headed to target to get a few items for dinner. That night we made a full (is it four or full)....course mexican meal! Stuffed peppers, homemade baked nachos, black beans, susie ruths famous texas rice and cheese cake sopapillas (check spelling) for dessert! we ate dinner on our balcony and then rented the Blind Side! which we loved! Kinda sad we never saw it in the theater, its def. a movie I will probably end up buying.

Sunday morning we woke up to the sounds of golf balls hitting our apartment complex, murphy "woofing" at golf carts driving by and very cool breeze coming through the balcony door. We had made a pallet on our living room floor saturday night and left the balcony door open...made us feel as though we were somewhat camping and murphy loved being able to go out to "inspect" from time to time. After waking up we made a great breakfast with eggs, blueberry muffins and fruit with a little OJ on the side. This afternoon we spent time cleaning and eventually dying some eggs before heading off to church. We are so very thankful the Village Church offers Sunday night services only because going Sunday mornings you risk the chance of getting turned away due to the service being "full." When we got to church this evening we were told hundreds and hundreds were turned away at each of the 3 morning services.  =/

and that was our glorious weekend...heres a few pictures of our time coloring eggs!
