a lil of this, a lil of that

hudson woke up a little after 6 this morning. not sure why but he laid in bed with danny & i till about 7:45, he never went back to sleep but was pretty quiet and not too wiggly. ;) yesterday around 4 we headed to church, we love going to the saturday 5 'clock service mainly because its the best services time for hudson to attend. sunday mornings are brutal because he misses his morning nap regardless of which service time we go to. so like i said, we left around 4 and by 4:40 were still on the main road to get out of colleyville/grapevine...meaning we had at least another 35 minutes to go in order to make it church on time.  needless to say we had to turn around and miss church once again due to all the construction going on around here. pretty frustrating. were going to attempt to go again tonight but will have to attend the Dallas campus bc the flowermound campus where we usually go doesnt have sunday night service. confusing huh?! speaking of church, danny & i (along with hudson) are soooo close to being official members of the Village Church! WE are soooo excited! If you go to the Village, then your aware of the lengthy process of becoming a member...its not the easiest commitment to make & follow through with. There were a lot of steps involved such as attending a 3 hour meeting, proving your church back ground, meeting with another couple to go over your testimony, learning about & signing the church's covenant... long story short, you just dont walk up to the front of the church & shake the preachers hand in order to a be a member. I say "were so close" to becoming members because the last step is for the elders to go over our reasons for membership, our testimonies etc and then "approve" us for members... so now we just wait! =) But surely they know we would make awesome church members! =)

lets see...what else is going on... oh yeah, im 26 weeks pregnant! 14 more to go! does that mean im in the 3rd trimester already?! I have a doctors appointment tomorrow morning for my glucose test, with hudson i only passed it by one point so i'm a little nervous about it & i probably shouldn't of had ice cream last night. eek. Baby #2 seems to be a lot stronger & more active in my tummy than i remember hudson being. its amazing how every pregnancy is so different. i've started getting a little anxious about labor&delivery, i really really really want to do this all natural with no pain medication. i'm going to try to labor at home for as long as possible. Ive been doing a lot of research & reading about aromatherapy's,  the bradley method & using a birthing ball...so hopefully i can do this! I know i'm going to need a lot of emotional support from danny if i decided to not get the epidural...so i hope he's up for it! =) i may have my sister be an "assistant' labor coach if she's up for it, in order to give danny a break. she doesnt know this yet but if she reads my blog she will soon find out haha. my sister manages pain very well, she always been the "tougher" one out of the both of us, so i figured she will be good to have around to keep me calm & focused.

so are any of you watching american idol? we sort of are and my favorite is Colton Dixon. thats really all i have to say about that. (that was so forest gump huh?)

well, hudson is napping, so i need to do some reading & get dressed for this lovely sunday!

  1. Hey Amber!
We did what we call "modified Bradley" to have a natural childbirth, meaning we read the book and read about other methods and used a combination to make it happen. Send me a message if you want to know more or have any questions :) I'd do natural birth again!
